Inspired by an earlier diary entitled What Are You Reading?, I thought I'd post this as a good 'Friday diary' aka a 'Fridiary'.
I'm intrigued by the Amazon Kindle, an e-book that stores literally hundreds of books. It's a wireless device that allows the owner to order and download, within a minute, entire book titles.
The Kindle also says that a reader can order and download daily newspapers and ( get this ) blogs!
The thing is priced at over $350, but apparently there are no monthly fees other than the books you actually purchase & download, around $10 each book.
From what I've heard the screen is designed to be so effective at eliminating glare that the promotional video at Amazon.com shows a woman reading one on the beach on a bright sunny day.
It's about the size of a regular book, thin, weighs about 10 oz, and has navigation buttons to page forward, backward, bookmark, look up words, and so forth.
